A record for me personally.....5 loco's in the NS paint (9152, 9701, 9153, 6680 & 6164) scheme and 2 blue Conrail loco's (5442 & 5443)......pulling a mixed freight train up the K&O lines.  It was only moving about 20 mph along Loves Creek so I started to chase it.   But stupid me took a wrong turn and got too far behind with some red lights to get back out in front.

I picked up a scanner yesterday.  So this time I actually heard them clear the train to leave.  I looked at the signals there at Rutledge Pike.  The left hand one was red over green so I assumed the train was headed that way instead of down the West End.   I went and parked along Loves Creek and heard the train coming about 10 minutes later.

A few pics.  Some even look like something you'd take on purpose.  A change for me.

And then a few pics from the yard today.   Contrail 6805,  BNSF 4455 & 4727.

HLCX loco # 7166 was there also.   There was just no good place to get shots of it or the BNSF loco's.

The train you saw pulling out of West Sevier was train 112 headed for Kansas City MO.
