Just some pics from yesterday

I was working a yard job yesterday, and had to take BNSF 4163 and NS 6644 and put them on train 288.  Here's two pics I took while waiting to couple up to the train.  The pics are not the best, as I only have a old digital camera.

Here is a front view pic from BNSF 4163 looking at the signal at North Inman.  The rack train is heading north.



Here is a pic most railfans never see.  It's a shot looking through mirror.  You can also see the rack train reflecting in the window.

I've always been amazed how far "outside" the rails that you are when sitting near the window of a locomotive cab.  I mean it makes sense, since the engine itself is wider than the gauge of the rails, but the perspective provided by the camera lens sure exaggerates the difference in width.  Cool stuff . . . . thanks!
