Here are some photos from a couple of railfan trips from last Saturday and today.

I got up early on Saturday morning with plans to spend the morning in Phillipsburg, NJ, on the Lehigh Line. On my way there I found an empty PP&L coal train sitting on the Portland Secondary.

The train appeared to have just stopped, since the crew had got off the engine a minute or two after I showed up. While the train was stopped here I took the opportunity to photograph it reflecting off a PC passenger car that's now used as part of a restaurant. The PC car is appropriate here because Penn Central used to own this section of the Portland Secondary before the creation of Conrail.

Later in the morning I photographed my first moving train of the day, 212 with four GP60's. These sure sounded nice heading up the hill here.

I returned to Phillipsburg and got some grab shots of a couple of westbounds before I got the 24V heading east into the mid-morning light.

This is the main reason I went railfanning on Saturday morning. NS 39T/CP D17 with a CP SD40-2F "Red Barn" and a GEVO.

An eastbound freight through Macungie, PA, on the Reading Line this morning.

11J led by a nice CR C40-8W.

While returning home, I caught westbound PP&L coal train 643 coming onto the Reading Line at CP-Bethlehem.

Hope you enjoyed the photos!  :)

Nice work Austin.

Interesting that CP has started getting their GEVO's with the Hi-Ad Trucks instead of the "steerables" wonder why the sudden change.
