I have been hearing the Alabama East End Dispatch communicate with a 911 rail train for over a week now in Alabama around Heflin and Muscadine. Thursday late afternoon on the way home from an errand, with no camera or scanner I saw a clear signal east bound in downtown Villa Rica so I parked it and waited. Here comes the 911 with the 9033 long hood forward and the 7066 CNO&TP GP50 towing a set of MOW rail cars. Well turns out they parked it in Douglasville overnight and shoved back a good 10 miles on Thursday morning to the siding at Baggett. After almost 2 hours and two east bounds later they pulled out of the siding heading east laying out rail on the curves between Baggett and Carroll.

NS9033 as it approaches the Tyson Rd crossing just east of Villa Rica

NS7066 CNO&TP GP 50 second unit on 911. The unit was not fired up and running but still worthy of a shot!!

And let's not forget the team that keeps steel for the wheels in place. NS 911 laying out rail in the curve east of Tyson Road

Only bad thing about this is the curfews that will be down the road in the weeks to come.
