Sunday afternoon while out and about South of Danville KY, I happened to run into a Northbound NS 054.  This was a High / Wide move with UP 7813 leading a 5 car train containing 3 big turbines (generators??) manufactured in Charlotte NC by Siemans. There didn't seem to be many  clearance restrictions, and they got over the road pretty fast...guess it was more weight than anything.

It was kinda nice to see big stuff like this that was made in the USA, and great to see they where proud enough to put that right on the side of those things.  It seems like every time you hear or see about moves like this, it is something that has been imported from overseas, but not these..

It was rather hard to do much with a Northbound, but I grabbed a few shots of the train, as it pretty much followed us back towards home anyway. Here are a few of the train at Southfork, Danville and Harrodsburg Ky.   I will have some more later this week,  from what turned out to be an unusually busy Sunday on the CNO&TP.

Here is a link to a short video I made at Bowen KY. http://youtu.be/SL5Ymis0F9c
