Are any of you guys members of the yahoo group "HO Interchange"? I have been a member for some time and there are some pretty good deals (if you don't mind getting 20+ extra emails in your inbox a day!!!) I just picked up 3 Kato -9 44cw (one to be converted into a tophat) for 100 bucks. Gotta admit I was sceptical at first but they arrived in unopened boxes.

I've purchased a few things off there. Have gotten great deals on "everyday" items and even hard to find stuff. But i have also had a couple bad experiences and since have been very particular about buying off of there. While I will try to remain as unbiased as possible on said situation, along with not volating any rules of the JREB site. But if ya buy something from someone and its damaged or not accurate to the description of the item in the Email and then get the run around from the seller, dont expect any decent assistance from the moderator. Myself and a few others have had this issue. Nonetheless, when carefully utalized its a great and generally cheaper alternative to Ebay along with being able to place an "ad" so to speak of an item you are looking for.

Been doing the ebay thing for a while. I can usrally get things cheaper than in a retail store. The I fall back on the train shows but that stuff is getting so high now to.

HO Trainworld/trainland is also good on prices... however, some stuff I had ordered was broken. And some others have had the same thing. Mine was an air tank on one engine and a plow on another. No big deal to fix... but, still annoying!!! But, with all internet stuff... you need to remember rule #1... BUYER BEWARE!!! That's is why I still go to some retail shops... I can see it, see it is NOT broken or damaged, and even test it out. But, you do pay for that piece of mind. Just my 2 cents. Dan
