Not much going on around the house today, AND I'm off work..time to go trackside!  Here are a few shots from around the Greensboro, NC area.  Enjoy!

The first shot is the midday Piedmont (75) southbound at CP Elm.  I have been trying to catch one of the two new F59PH's on the point of this train but no luck today.  In the background on the lead is the A&Y job returning off the CF Line wye.

Next is the A&Y job at Elm with it's catfish and high hood GP38 doing the honors long hood forward.  They are passing a questionable trackside residence that fortunately was uninhabited at the time of this shot!

Northbound 751 coasts by the skyline and pulls a solid train of black NS mtys back to the mountains.  The 8853 is stricken with the sickest sounding horn I have heard in years.  Keep your ears open for it.

Lastly P30 (Winston-Salem to Pomona turn) with a M-2 heads west along Spring Garden St. back to Winston-salem on the K line.  This train keeps the same power set for a few weeks at a time, the 2603 is third out making for a nice leader in either direction.  A conveniently placed pile of fill dirt made this shot possible, otherwise the brush obscures the sight line.

Nice work. I absolutely love the third photo with the city skyline in the background.  That is top shelf!

Nice work. It's good to see someone out enjoying the nice weather we have had.

I've started carrying a 6 foot ladder in the bed of my truck when I go out so I can get shots without that dirt pile
