After a week of being sick, and Two weeks of not getting out to shoot, it was time to go see some trains.  EB and myself made plans to meet fellow JREB members Steve (ssmith1627) and Billy (billworsham) at Kings Mountain (KY) Saturday morning (10/02/10)

After meeting up, we spent the rest of the afternoon showing them around the area, and shooting a slew of Southbounds at Gradison, Burnside, and Keno. We just beat a late afternoon storm front and clouds, and wound up with several good shots. The fall colors are just now starting to peek through, and it should be an awesome show by the end of the Month.

Feel free to check this link for 11 new images from the day.

Great pic's, thanks for sharing these and the entire gallery over on pBase.

In one of the earlier photographs, what's going on here?

Is this going to be triple track, or is the middle and right-hand line the "new" permanent double track?

The left-hand line, with the southbound, seems very close to the rock wall.

Though maybe they are double-tracking the region, but moving things over to the center of the R-O-W (?).

Just wondering . . . . . RDS
