Yesterday I made it trackside around 11:30 and quickly had the 236 heading my way with a UP leader. I found a place at the 396.8 signal just west of Abingdon where an eastbound would still have some light on the nose this late in the morning.

I trailed the 236 on up the road to Emory where I had a short wait before seeing 22A passing by the Emory & Henry ballpark.

After a long wait 955 finally comes my way at Washington, the west end of the Glade Spring siding.

Next it was on to Bristol where 955 would change crews and meet a second 38Q before heading west.

Then it was on to Piney Flats to catch 955 passing under the signals at the west end of the siding for the last shot and only video of the day

Good stuff!  I figured the later the train ran the better the light was gonna be for everyone..  That shot at glade springs would have been worth the whole day to me!
