Old SRR gondola and a new RP-E4C

This past weekend I visited my hometown of Portsmouth, OH. I didn't have much time for railfanning but did manage to catch a parked welded rail train at the old coach yard. What first caught my eye from a distance was the SRR gondola as opposed to the new RP-E4C. Said gondola was built 9/1943 and could possibly be one of the oldest cars on the roster.  Enjoy.

I agree totally, that old gon is absolutely an eye catcher, nice find!

Ive had a 1927 gon like that one on a rail train before.
