Today was the first, real snowfall that Kentucky has seen thus far in the winter season. It's nice to be in school and being able to get a snow day once in awhile, and today was a great day to have one. With the roads being crappy I didn't want to get too far from the house. There was great EMD, Canadian and heritage power running through the snow, here are some of the pictures from today.

If you want to see the rest the Flickr page is where you'll find it here>> http://www.flickr.com/photos/46459752@N08/

NS 117 sits in Danville Yard in the middle of a snow storm with a Canadian National GE leading

A new, fresh Canadian National GE sits on the lead of NS 289 at North Wye, seems kinda fitting with all the snow

NS 275 splits the signals at West Harrodsburg with an SD70 leading

NS 275 rolls around the curve in a near whiteout as it comes toward highway 2168

A short 224 rolls across Town Branch Creek in Harrodsburg with a trio of EMDs

As the sun comes out for the first time, the Lehigh Valley brings up the rear on NS 23G in Harrodsburg

Lehigh Valley rolls through the snow past highway 2168 as the DPU on 23G

Anything related to LV looks good in snow. Nice shots.
Got questions? I can help you with the Erie Lackawanna (including predecessors), Lehigh Valley, Delaware & Hudson and the shortlines of upstate NY.
