I awoke to a surprise that NS 142 would have Western Pacific 1983 on it. Trailing or not, it's always a special opportunity to see a western Heritage Unit. My day started a little farther south then I usually go, I first caught up to NS 142 at Norwood.

Next stop, after meeting NS 215, NS 142 gets back underway at Kings Mountain with UP 1983 riding shotgun

After passing 142 at South Fork, I pulled over at Geneva to catch 142 passing by the wide open field

Western Pacific 1983 passes by a small veteran memorial at Geneva

After getting shutout at High Bridge, and with luck from Otto, I raced down to Nicholasville to catch NS 142 flying overhead US 27

Good stuff Sir! You did well even with that thing being the meat in a UP Samich!

Looks like the clouds helped again today to...love that flag shot at Geneva...
