...Bookout that is! With the first "warm" day of spring occuring on Saturday, April 6; Thomas Bookout and I got out in Central Kentucky to capture some truly "unique" shots that aren't often seen.  Our first stop was Eagle Creek Bridge in Sadieville, followed by a quick trek down to Akers to capture the signals before they're gone.  I came out pleased with the results even though we were forced to shoot a few northbounds that were backlit.

The pride of the fleet, 229 storms across Eagle Creek in the early morning sun.

Running the normal position, two blocks behind 229, 295 makes good time over Eagle Creek...

After waiting for the two intermodals at the Gap, a northbound intermodal heads through Sadieville...

At Akers, hot 215 heads south with the new signals casting a tall shadow on the old GRS signals...

A long manifest hauling two freshly-painted EMDs heads north from single to number 2 at Akers...

A short T91 heads north to work Delaplain yard behind some great power...

Finally, the "new replacement" sits in the weeds while the "old" shines bright for a few more days.
