Well, where to start. Been modeling NS, Sou & NW for most of my existence. Somehow, this site has escaped me until just recently. I was brought up as a rail fan/ model railroader by my father who used it as a bit a stress reliever from his job as chief of police / fire chief (volunteer). Anyway, both of us are still active. He is the late steam / early diesel guy and I'm the 2nd gen. to present guy. Makes for interesting operations when a stack train with M-2s and -9s pass a coal drag power by a Y6b or class A. Together we have amassed close to 400 locos and close to 2000 freight & passenger cars and cabooses. Like most everyone else, the layout isn't close to finished. Anyway glad to see a site based on NS modeling so once I figure out how to post pics (not technology savy), I will put some up.

As for posting pics... when reply to a thread or making a new topic... at the bottom you will see additional options. click on it. then hit the "browse" button... this allows you to search your computer for the pic you want. Just some FYI... keep pics under 2MB. And you might have to post mutliple pics in more than one reply. Also, we have a model contest(NS rolling stock right now) at the top of the page. I am really not trying to be "that guy". I have a question but it will not allow me to PM you, or anyone for that matter. I have looked at the 'Help" screen numerous times and most of directions / buttons arent an option for me to select. Once again, sorry

I tried to reply and it said that I can not check my messages and it also says that I can't view your profile

I have tried from numerous computers from different locations and none of them will allow me to check PMs, post pics, etc. If I click on the email notification that i get from your PMs, I get directed to this site but it posts "An error has occured!....Sorry, you can't read your personal messages". If I click on your name to send you a PM directly, it says "Many apologies but you can't view just any profile".
As far as posting pictures, when I go to the "Additional Options" tab at the bottom of the screen, it only displays "Notify me of replies, Return to this topic & Don't use smileys"

And for everyone else. It appears that I posting to myself. In truth,  NSMoWandS is trying to figure out why I can't do things (PM, post pictures, etc.) on the site. The only thing I get is an email notification from him so I must reply to the thread instead of the PM. Thanks for working on this  NSMoWandS. I really want to post some of my work for you guys to see.

I am looking into what may be the cause of your issues. All of your permissions are set "normal" and no one else is having any issues (that I have heard about anyway)... Our #1 tech guy (JCagle) has been out of touch for the past couple of weeks getting married, but should be back with us soon. If I cant figure it out, I am sure he can..

I will work on this some more this evening..

Just another reason this site by far to me and many others is simply the best there is. We always seem to take care of each other whether it be trading info sharing ideas  and it all started with a train as the great Walt Disney once said about a little mouse. Either you can remember getting that Lionel when you were a kid or bet you remember the first time you saw your first train and just stared as it went by wandering about what it took to get it there in the first place.  Mr. Disney was facinated by trains from what I was reading today. Simply put another great railfan.
