I went out to an train show today,my first one in a long time, and I have to say I got some great Deals.

To start off I got an Custom KCS SD40-2 for 40 bucks

Then up next is an BB KCS Boxcar Kit for 9 bucks

Now this is where the deals really kick in.
I got this Athearn Undec Clay Slurry Tank Car for 8 Bucks and they regular are like close to 30 MSRP.

Got this Tangent 100T BLE Coal Hopper for 8 bucks yep I said 8 Bucks regularly an 34 buck car.

But this was the greatest find of em all. I found an Athearn Genesis 89ft Long runner set which regularly is 80 bucks for only 30.

Good deals. Question though... How is the tangent model? I haven't run across any of those yet and was wonder about the quality. Most here know my love of exactrail( well, lack there of). And was just curious about tangent.

The Tangents are very detailed, and they are up there with the Athearns and ERs on detail. Very nice car which is why im shocked I got it at that price

Thanks for the info... it just seems everytime I buy an Exactrail... the details is great... but... the car is too light, or the trucks are not in gage... I know those are easy fixes... but, for their top of the line... you would think QC would be better. But, thanks again... I guess I will give Tangent a try.

The Tangent line is head and shoulders above everything else.  They are the pinnacle of RTR freight cars.  That being said, the Bethlehem quad hopper they did is only correct for the UP cars.  The L&N, CRR, and BL&E cars are all too tall for their respective prototypes.  They don't look bad by themselves but they should be shorter than the Bowser triple hopper but instead are the same height.
