Paid a visit to the CNO&TP 2nd District yesterday. It was probably the first time where I've found a few spots to just sit and watch trains. I'll figure the line out even more with future trips, but yesterday I was satisfied with sitting at Kings Mountain and Eubank for several hours. I saw a total of 16 trains yesterday, so the level of traffic certainly didn't disappoint me.

A few photos from Norfolk Southern's CNO&TP 2nd District:

It took me a minute to figure out where those shots at Eubank where from, I had forgot about that new bridge! Sure beats the heck out of that tiny underpass that used to go under the tracks there.

It was pretty warm Wednesday, I basically kept an eye out for places in the shade to sit and wait for trains. That bridge and a nice breeze made things a bit better.Might try to get up on that overpass in the future. There's also a nice little hill by the road that might work. I may wait until winter, when all the plants(and the eleventy billon grasshoppers) all die down. I imagine I'll find more places to sit on the 2nd District as time goes on, and eventually I'll start moving up and down the line for trains. Did the same thing when I started railfanning CSX over here.
