OK, I'm new here but that doesn't mean I won't share. Here's my first contribution to the forum- an epic chase of NS  on former Erie and LV trackage along the New York/Pennsylvania border last summer.

NS and CP jointly run a train in each direction between Buffalo and Mechanicville daily. Here's the eastbound run near Smithboro, NY,  on the afternoon of July 6th:

The same  train about to pass under Route17C in upstate NY about 15 minutes after the first shot was taken:

I decided to head back west shortly after the second shot in this series.  I turned off at Waverly and headed over the border to Sayre, PA... home of the legendary Lehigh Valley RR yard. The little LV may be gone for 30+ years now, but the yard still sees use. Here is a a pair of resting NS widecabs and some covered hoppers:

Heading west again, I followed the former Erie/EL mainline between Elmira and Wavery. I found this NS train crossing Route 427 at Wellsburg, NY... with UP power leading:

I really liked the location at Wellsburg, but botched photographing the next train to come through the crossing... so I decided to give the location another try the following day. This time, the power was all NS:

I hope the rest of you enjoy seeing these pictures as much as I did taking them.  8)
