I hadn't plan on taking pictures today just because it was only about 15 degrees outside, it felt colder than that at times even with the sun out.   But as I was coming home from the in-laws, I just couldn't pass up this oppurtunity for a few shots of some NS's parked in the Shattuc siding near Hoffman, IL.  So as my 13 month old was nappimg in the back, my wife told me you better make it quick and not wake him up or I would be in trouble.  Can you tell my wife likes trains.  ;D  So I turned the heat on high and quietly hopped out of the car to get somewhat decent shots.  And I'm sure this has all happened to you that as soon as you are ready for the shot, the sun disappears.  >:(  But being that is was too cold I took the shot anyway and said "heck with it".

Here are the photos I came up with so I hope you all enjoy.

Eastbound NS #167 with a wide load in towing, waits for NS #112 to arrive at Shattuc siding.

Eastbound NS #167 meets NS #112 at Shattuc siding

Westbound NS #112 approaches the small village of Posey, IL with a UP supporting the American Flag as a helping 4th unit.

The third unit on 112 looks like a GP38-2 GATX with the white nose. Did you catch what the number was on that unit?

No I sure didn't, darn it.  I was lucky to get the number on the UP.  He was moooooving!!!

The train in question as to which train it is, that could be NS 167. Occasionally he carries some highwides on his train.
