Geez, it was ugly out this morning in central Indiana . . . when D48 (a unit grain train) came through town just after 11:00 AM.  We had a heavy overcast sky, plus standing water everywhere from the 1.2 inches of rain overnight.  But it was GREAT to see the First Responder unit for its initial run on the Frankfort-Muncie, Indiana line.   Sorry about the poor photographs, but they are off an iPhone with crappy lighting.  Note: I tried to brighten them a bit.

Hey that was a sweet looking locomotive regardless of the weather conditions. I would first like to take this opportunity to thank those of JREB for posting this heads up and since I had the day off I took the wild chance of driving over a hundred miles to see if I could catch it. Luck was with me and for the most part I had sunny skies as I tagged along between Eaton and Hamilton on the New Castle Sub. Again thanks JREB!
