Rolled out around 8:15am and headed east toward Austell on US78 through Douglasville. Within a 4 mile drive along the Alabama Division East End tracks that run parallel to the two lane road I saw three City of Douglasville Police cars parked and officers on foot along the railroad right of way?  What's up here? No trains running either. Went on to Austell Jct
Amtrak 19 (NY to New Orleans) with AMTK148 & 135 pulls up to the signal on the #1 main and stops.
South bound NS 334 (SHEFFIELD, AL - MACON, GA) rolls into Austell on the run around track with UP4865 leading two NS units 9690 & 8396

Followed on the run around by NS 175 (ELKHART, IN - MACON, GA) with BNSF 5126 leading two CN units 5800 & 2254

By now it is almost 10 am and Amtrak 19 is still holding on main #1 just east of Austell. Still no trains off the east end. About that time a high railer is spotted getting off the end of the Alabama tracks in Austell. The driver is heard telling the east end dispatch to "call Douglasville 911 and tell them we have inspected from Winston to Austell and see nothing. We are going to start running trains" and with that Amtrak 19 headed west. Not sure what the issue was all about but will try to find out.

Get a TEXT message. NS23E has the FXE leading a CREX for today's power. West bounder and Austell isn't where I want to be for this one so headed back west toward Douglasville and parts farther west. Where to shoot a west bounder when it's not at least 3 pm in the afternoon?  See the intermediate signal at Cracker MP657.3 has an east bounder lined into Ben Hill siding. Perhaps I can catch this one in town.
NS 22G (LONG BEACH, CA (UP KLBNS) - ATL, GA) UP 4245 leads a BNSF and UP east through Douglasville

Keep heading west to the one spot I might be able to do some good and catch NS 23E (ATLANTA, GA - DALLAS, TX (KCS IATDA2) with a Ferromex 4082 unit leading a CREX 1310

NS 154 (BIRMINGHAM, AL - LINWOOD, NC) NS 8933 8911 & CP8845 just east of Winston CP 664.5 off the Connors road overpass

NS 226 (LOS ANGELES, CA (UP ZLCAI) - ATLANTA, GA) with 5 units on the head end at West Douglasville curves.
UP 8837 4793 NS 2747 9324 & 9910

Nice catches.  You got the NAFTA trifecta...US, Mexican, and Canadian power all in a single outing.
