Here are a few recent pics. I heard 285 coming through the other day and when dispatch gave a track warrant to NS 9978 I knew I had to get some shots of the last dash 9 delivered to the NS. Yes they have a lot of dash nines but maybe 50 years from now..

And finally after waiting in perfect high noon sun for 76J to come by as soon as the engine headlights show a cloud rolls in casting all kinds of crazy shadows in the back of the photo while the sun behind me casts shadows on the trees. This wrecks me when I shoot manual and can't change the settings on the fly fast enough and then my shutter speed is too slow when the clouds take away my light. I needed to be about 1/500 and 5.6 not 1/320 and 7.1. Of course when the sun was out full blast I had 1/800 and f9.0 set. Or I could just buy a real quality lens.

And I forgot about this but it's the empty coil train headed back to Ohio. This is a new location opened up by the new St. Michaels church just West of Pope Lick. They bulldozed a bunch of trees to make a drainage area in what used to be woods. Riggs Lake is right behind the tracks.
