Here's a few shots of 3524 taken today.

This was parked in West Buechel, Kentucky.

This engine was shut down. Sometimes they leave them running if they are going to use them again that day. I'm not sure if this was set out for a pickup to go East or if it was just parked for the day.

I couldn't do much with the lighting or the angle.

Typical Louisville skies, grey and hazy.

Great shots of a not so great unit. Several of these units stay here on local service and are not worth there weight in scrap. They are always having trouble.

I heard some time ago these were to get rebuilt with the GE version of EMD's ECO prime mover.  Any truth to that?

GE is still trying to start a program like EMD's ECO program... using 8 cylinder GEVO engines... but, it does not seem to be going anywhere.

Is that why there was a GE emblem on my new pack of razors? LOL! Yeah, they are 20 years(if lucky) and done.
