Went to Roanoke Saturday for the Roanoke Railfest, nothing special at the museum other than New Hope Valley RR 17 pulling the train rides, and they werent much. First are a couple shots of NHVRR 17 at the museum.

On a day dominated by widebodys, a high hood was a nice treat. 5116 leads a short 327 into Roanoke. Next is a shot taken from the train ride, 3810 and 3546 sit with a cab in Park St Yard.

#6
Got word that 8101 was northbound on 759 into Roanoke so I headed for Boones Mill to grab a few shots. 8017 leads 6 units with 8101 number 5 in the bunch.

A close up of 8101. Last catch of the day was 290 northbound at Gretna as I was headed home. 8752 and 8727 lean into the curve coming into town. They were GEs but atleast they were not widebodys.

Almost forgot these. The Roanoke NRHS had N&W GP30 522 there on display also. Comments and criticism are welcome. Enjoy.
