With the circus coming to the Charleston area at the beginning of the last week. A friend of mine and myself decided to go and chase the circus train as it proceeded towards Dickinson Yard for the shows at Charleston that started the next day. The only photo that I got of it was between Robson and Page, West Virginia at about milepost V430 on the former Virginian Railway's Princeton to Deep Water main. This is the 048 as it heads north through a rock cut just south of Robson off of State Route 61.

The next time we caught up with the circus train was at London, West Virginia at the entrance to the London Locks and Dam. After catching the circus coming by the locks and what not. We decided to head for Dickinson and get them switching the coaches into the yard. Once we got there, we waited at the north end of the yard for them to uncouple the coaches from the animal cars. When we saw that it was going to be a few minutes for that to happen. We headed for the south end of the yard and found the yard switcher coupled onto the rear for the south move to clear the remote control switch.

"Yard switcher" -- an SD70? I want that for yard power! Great catch!

Yup, they were using and SD70 for the yard switcher and even it had a time lugging those cars past the switch.
