Carmon & myself got back home late this evening, after spending the last 3 days in Knoxville & up to Ashville NC. Its seems like we have done nothing but burn up the roads this year shooting steam, The NS OCS and a bunch of other stuff, but this weekend will rank right up there as one of the best.

After downloading memory cards, I decided to relax a bit and process a couple, and thought I would share this sneak peak at what we shot. I have about 300 more to cull and process, so the full set may be a few days away. We have shot so much in the past 3 months, that I dont think I will get caught up until next year..just in time to start again!

As promised, the sneak peek...I will save the good stuff for later on.

Saturday, 11/12/11..The NS OCS passes through downtown Marshal NC, following the French Broad River to Ashville.

Early this morning (Sunday 11/13/11) Southern 154, owned and operated by the G&O, pounds up the grade out of Knoxville on the NS K&A branch, seen here at Vestal TN. This was the first time since its restoration last year that the engine had a chance to take a romp on her old home rails.

Southern 630 rolls Northbound through Rockford TN, headed back to Knoxville after taking over the train at Alcoa.
