I hope this isn't out of line... I mean it is an NS train, just happens to be travelling on PAL rails.

Over the past couple of months, NS has been loading a coal train out of Princeton, IN and sending it east to Louisville. At Louisville, the train turns south onto the PAL and runs to Grand Rivers, KY for unloading. And then will return north and west, to repeat the process.

I missed the southbound NS coal drag by about 30 minutes yesterday afternoon, with perfect weather (figures right?). After school this afternoon, I heard that they were still south of me, on their northbound trip. I made my way over to Cecilia around 5 to catch PRX1 with NS 7584, NS 8376 and NS 7706 roll by.

After the NS drag passed by Cecilia, the southbound Beaver Dam local was ready to leave. PAL 3809 leads 4 CSX tie gondolas southbound as LCL2.
