Title: Trouble on the 3rd district
Post by: E.M. Bell on July 05, 2006, 10:52:58 PM
I heard the South end dispatcher talking to some trains this evening asking about how their engines where running and tonnage. Mentioned somthing about "trouble down on the 3rd district", which made me think they might have been looking at routing over the K&O through Knoxville to Chatt..  Anyone down that way hear anything?

Hello Emmett,

Behind in my correspondence lately due to computer trouble (quit loading and kicked ground relay).  That particular instance was a northbound who had lost an engine coming north into Emory Gap and I was looking for someone to hand off an engine to him.  Our Emory Gap mechanical department saved the day - just needed a little governor oil.

Glad to have you back with us Steve. Engine troubles must be going around. Back on Saturday July 8th, Caleb and myself where out knocking around near the state line, and heard you getting 123 some help at Ratliff. Butch got em fixed right up that day as well...
