Title: F units leaving Norfolk
Post by: Enginecrew on August 17, 2007, 01:31:50 PM
Not sure if this is the right section to post this but seems good as any. Anyway NS's F units and train left the Lamberts Point station about 11:20 am. (Friday Aug 17th). Here are some not so great shots taken at mile post 2 just west of the head of Lamberts Point Terminal.

Nice pictures and thanks for sharing.  I bet you remember when units of this type were new.

I was hoping that they would make it through here in morning light, but with my best calculations there was no way that they were going to daylight by here. My only hope was a crew change and fueling at Linwood that took  several hours,, and I knew that wasn't a possibility. We seem to see them a lot but it's always at night or just at sun up or in the middle of the work day. One of these days I'll get to check them out in person.
