Rebecca went with me this afternoon for a tour of Burnside and points south [see http://www.jreb.org/ns/index.php?topic=10622.0.  Near the end of the day I took her down to hike through CNOTP Tunnels 3-4 to the edge of the lake.  As we headed in towards T3, something caught my eye [snake warning Emmett].  The was a copperhead laying across the track leading into the tunnel; or more accurately, there was most of a copperhead-this one had litterally lost its head.  My guess is that someone had performed the amputation either early this morning or yesterday.
